Numerical simulation of n-dodecane spray combustion based on OpenFOAM

For the purpose of providing scientific insights to combustion characteristics spray jet, numerical calculations reacting and non-reacting cases are performed for ECN (engine network) Spray A (n-dodecane combustion) which coupled finite chemistry model PaSR detailed chemical reaction kinetics based on OpenFOAM. The applicability accuracy is verified in case, it found that predicted such as penetration length liquid vapor mixture fraction good agreement with test results. two processes low-temperature high-temperature ignition experienced by n-dodecane analyzed continues exothermic before ignition, proceed stably after promotes flame stability. Finally, effects different fuel injection pressures delay time lift-off studied.
